Louisiana Office of Cultural Development (http://www.crt.state.la.us/culture/) – provides assistance in identifying and protecting historic properties, archaeological sites, burial places, and other cultural sites in the state.  A searchable map of documented historic and cultural resources is available online: (http://kronos.crt.state.la.us/website/lahpweb/viewer.htm).

Louisiana Regional and Station Archaeologists (http://www.crt.state.la.us/archaeology/) – are available to meet with landowners who have sites on their property and to talk to educators, school groups, and other organizations about Louisiana's prehistoric and historic archaeology.

Louisiana State Archives (http://www.sos.louisiana.gov/tabid/53/Default.aspx) – identifies, preserves, and makes accessible records (such as census records, military records, family histories, and various parish, state and federal records) and other documents that can help you research your special sites.
