2019 Required Sample Available in ATFS Database
The annual required and priority pioneer sample is now available for viewing in the database. For chairs and administrators, the report can be found under Tree Farm reports.
The deadline for submission and complete approval of these inspections is Monday, December 9, 2019.
On-the-ground inspections with an ATFS Inspector provide the greatest value to Tree Farmers enrolled in ATFS. To help ensure the credibility of ATFS, every year we ask state programs to complete a number of “required sample” inspections. Additionally, since 2016, a small sample of pioneer properties are randomly selected for inspection for states with a pioneer population.
To download the report (full instructions here):
- Log into www.atfsdatabase.org
- Go to Tree Farm reports => Required inspections.
- Choose your filters (if any). The target year is 2019.
- Choose the output format you'd like
Note: If you see a property that has been recently inspected on the sample that is because, at the time, when the sample was being selected the inspection had not been entered into the database. So during that time the property appeared to not have been inspected in a number of years. To rectify this, the inspector can do a follow up phone or email inspection within 180 days of the field visit. After 180 days another field visit will be required.
