This year, the American Tree Farm (ATFS) is celebrating its 75th Anniversary and as we reflect on how far we have come during that time, it is important to recognize the crucial role that our volunteers and inspectors have played in our success. This program would not be able to function without our passionate corps of volunteer inspectors who performed more than 8,000 inspections this past year alone.
We are committed to the continued engagement of our inspectors through information sharing, training opportunities, and technical support. I am excited to announce the revival of the monthly Sightline e-newsletter starting in June. The Sightline e-newsletter will be your resource for in-depth updates and announcements related to the ATFS Standards and Guidance, inspections, field assessments, and inspector education. This monthly communication will be sent out to all active Inspectors as well as state committee leaders and we will house archives of the newsletter on our website.
